Tag-Based Order Hold
When you tap ⏸ Hold Order in chat, Tada Alerts uses Shopify’s GraphQL tagsAdd mutation to apply your custom hold tag (default HOLD — customizable to match your 3PL, WMS, or ERP, such as ON_HOLD).
Optional Order Note Audit Trail: Automatically appends a non-destructive timestamped audit line to the existing order note (e.g. [2026-10-12 09:30 UTC] HOLD requested via TadaAlerts by @alex) without ever overwriting existing notes.
Fulfillment Hold via Shopify GraphQL API
Switch to Fulfillment Hold via API in one click. Tada Alerts requests Shopify’s optional fulfillment scopes (write_merchant_managed_fulfillment_orders & write_third_party_fulfillment_orders) only when you enable this mode.
True Fulfillment Lock: Tapping ⏸ Hold Order executes fulfillmentOrderHold on all open fulfillment orders — locking the Mark as fulfilled button in Shopify Admin until your team reviews and releases the hold.
